Luxury perfume is one of life's genuine pleasures — and one of its most quietly expensive habits. A bottle of Dior Sauvage, Parfums de Marly Oriana or Initio Side Effect costs hundreds of dollars, and worn daily that adds up to thousands a year.
Dupe perfumes exist because the character of a scent can be recreated at a fraction of the cost. Not counterfeits, and not knock-offs in lookalike bottles — our fragrances are sold under our own name and our own "Lie" numbers, formulated and hand poured in small batches in Sydney, vegan and cruelty-free.

How we chose this list
This isn't a ranking of every dupe brand on the market — it's our own range, and we're obviously biased. What we can tell you honestly is which of our fragrances Australian customers buy most, re-order most and review most positively. That's what this list is based on. For each one we've noted what the original smells like and who it tends to suit, so you can pick without buying blind.

How close is a dupe, honestly?
Close, but not identical — and anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. Differences in raw-material sourcing and concentration mean a dupe will never be a molecule-for-molecule copy. What a good dupe gets right is the overall character: the opening, the heart and the dry-down you recognise (our fragrance notes guide explains these). Longevity also varies by fragrance and skin; most of ours are Eau de Parfum strength and many improve after a couple of weeks of resting in the bottle.
Frequently asked questions
Are dupe perfumes legal in Australia? Yes. Fragrance formulas aren't protected by copyright or patent. Brand names and trademarks are, which is why our fragrances are sold under our own name and numbers, not as the originals.
Are dupe perfumes good quality? It varies a lot between brands. Ours are hand poured in small batches in Sydney using a blend of natural materials and safe synthetics, and every formula is vegan and cruelty-free.
